Community Bank Merger with Progressive Bank
On April 30th of 2018, Community Bank successfully acquired Progressive Bank, an Ohio and West Virginia based bank. Our support of the merger included developing communication timelines, press releases, talking points, customer letters, employee communication plans, and overall direction for the communication of the acquisition. The acquisition and the communication to the many stakeholders was well-received and surpassed Community Bank’s expectations. Community Bank received a significant amount of positive publicity and media coverage of the acquisition. In addition to the acquisition commutation plan we also developed a launch and introductory media campaign of the markets that were served by Progressive, now Community Bank. These markets include Northern West Virginia, Ohio Valley and Buckhannon, WV which is south of the Clarksburg, WV.
