Stoney's Beer Acquisition, Branding & Relaunch
The license to brew Stoney’s beer was acquired in the first quarter of 2017. The Swiatek Melone Group engagement was comprehensive including updating the brand, new logo development, bottle labels, cans, packaging, website and sales materials. We also developed a comprehensive public relations and publicity strategy for relaunching the brand and reformulated beer. The public relations and launch plan included press releases, grass-roots events and a major relaunch event held at the Meadows Racetrack and Casino. The publicity coverage obtained for Stoney’s included multiple front-page news stories, TV news interviews and several appearances on Pittsburgh TV news and lifestyle shows, all of which translated into to a significant increase brand awareness, distribution expansion, increased beer sales and revenue growth.
